Reflector

The Reflector strategy is to wait a lunar cycle, about 28 days, before major decisions. As the Moon moves through all 64 gates in that time, a Reflector experiences the decision from many angles.

During that month, talk it over with different people, spend time in different places, and notice how your view shifts. What feels like a clear yes in the first week can look very different in the third. Small daily choices don't need a full cycle. For a move, a career change, or a commitment to someone, the waiting is what brings clarity.

Each Type has a signature, the feeling that tells you you're living your design, and a not-self theme, the feeling that tells you you've drifted. For a Reflector, the signature is surprise and delight, and the not-self theme is disappointment.

Surprise is the wonder of being in the right place with the right people, where life keeps showing you something new. Disappointment builds when you stay in an environment that doesn't suit you and decide the problem must be you. It almost never is. Disappointment is a signal to look at where you are and who you're with. The way back is changing your surroundings, not changing yourself.

Authority is how your body makes decisions before your mind argues. Every Reflector has Lunar authority.

Lunar authority means your clarity comes from time and from conversation. Over a full lunar cycle, you sample your decision through different energies, talk it through with people you trust, and notice what stays consistent. The answer that survives the whole month is the one to trust. Rushing a Reflector toward a big decision usually means losing the very perspective that makes them wise.

Reflectors thrive when they choose their environment with care. The place you live, the people you work with and the community you belong to shape how you feel more than they shape any other Type. Time alone matters too, so you can let go of what you've absorbed and return to yourself.

In relationships, Reflectors do best with people who give them room and time, and who understand that a Reflector's mood often says as much about the room as about the Reflector.
